'Olleros - Chavin' trekking circuit, Llama trek

Olleros Chavin Llama trek Cordillera BlancaThis trekking route is made until nowadays  by the same footpath where the Ancient Chavin people walked. Chavin culture is considered as the mother culture of all the Peruvian culture, even of the Incas. The route is generally made using the Llamas also the ancient mean of transportation. The starting point is in the Callejon de Huaylas in the West and cross the mountain range to get to the Callejon de Conchucos to Chavin de Huantar ruins, this tour is also called Llamatrek.

Itinerary at a glance

Day 1: Huaraz - Olleros -Tsacracancha 4100m

Day 2: Tsacracancha - Yanashallash pass 4700 m - Shonqo 4090m.

Day 3: Shonqo - Chavín de Huantar 3200 m. - Huaraz.
